FAQ

The questions we were asked most

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Both are inside Michigan Central Station, 2001 15th St, Detroit, MI 48216. The ceremony is in the Grand Ballroom; the cocktail hour and reception are in the South Concourse.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive before 5:45 PM — doors open at 5:30. That leaves time to find a seat and settle before the ceremony begins at 6:00.

Is there parking?

Yes. Valet parking, gratuity included, is provided with our compliments. It opens at 5:15 PM and stays open until 12:15 AM.

Is there a shuttle?

Yes — for guests staying at the Cambria.

To the venue: gather in the lobby at 5:00 PM. The shuttle departs at 5:15 PM, and it is the only run out, so don’t be late.

Back to the hotel: shuttles start at 9:30 PM and run roughly every 30 minutes. The last one leaves Michigan Central at 12:15 AM.

What should I wear?

There’s no strict dress code — we just want you there. Most guests will be in semi-formal or cocktail attire, but please don’t feel you need to buy anything new. If you’re comfortable, we’re happy.

Are kids welcome?

We adore all the children in our lives, but the celebration is an adults-only evening. Thank you for understanding — enjoy the night with your favorite grown-ups.

How do I know if I have a plus-one?

If we reserved a plus-one for you, it is named on your invitation. Our count is locked with our vendors, so we kindly ask that you arrive with those invited.

While you’re in town

We’re putting together the places we’d send you to eat, drink and wander — it will be here before the wedding.

Our story

How we got here

Sarah and Francesco on a rooftop, holding hands, with downtown Detroit behind them.

Photograph by Rosy and Shaun Photography

It started where all the best Detroit stories do: on the patio at TV Lounge. Bound by a mutual love for house music, we hit it off immediately. It didn’t take long for us to realize we found our person.

We’re cut from the same cloth — happiest when we’re laughing, traveling to new places, or just enjoying the quiet moments at home. We don’t take life too seriously, but we take each other seriously.

We are so excited to bring our favorite people together to start this next chapter (and yes, there will be house music).
